Reinforced concrete pipe is recognized by Engineers, Contractors and Specifiers throughout the modern world as the most durable, versatile and economical of all pipe products.
Austin Pipe Concepts’ pipe making technology, which is used extensively throughout Europe and the United States of America, produces high strength densely compacted concrete by way of the Vertical Drycast process.
Having brought a Variant machine into New Zealand from Schlosser Pfeiffer of Germany (who are world leaders in this proprietary vibration technology) enables the Company to manufacture reinforced concrete pipe, jacking pipe, PVC and PE lined pipe and associated products.
The Vertical Drycast concrete process produces a higher level of pipe performance, that has:
- Consistant product wall thickness.
- Even distribution of aggregates throughout the pipe cross section.
- Tighter tolerances due to fully moulded manufacturing process.
- The process requires a thicker pipe wall than the traditional product; this has a number of advantages and benefits to the the specifier, asset owner and contractor.
- Thicker wall giving greater cover to reinforcing
- Thicker collars and spigots being less susceptible to damage.
- As the pipe is heavier lifting pins will be incorporated down to 450mm diameter.
- True 100 year defined life.
